Kieran McManus is a multi-instrumentalist living in Portland. His music is based around the lively soulful American music that sang out from many a beat-up guitar, cellos, fiddles, frailing banjos, and honky tonk pianos around the Appalachian mountains in the first half of the century. Using primarily cellos and guitars, Kieran unites diverse genres including Bluegrass, Funk, Reggae, Celtic, Old Time, and Blues, emerging with a portrait of a New Americana.
